Growing Fruit Naturally

March 19, 2012 review

Grow Fruit NaturallyBy:Lee ReichPublisher Name:The Taunton Press

I admit it, I am a sucker for a gardening book with an abundance of fabulous pictures. Grow Fruit Naturally not only provides a visual stimuli that any gardener would find immensely pleasurable, it provides clear and well written information on soil preparation, plant selection, diseases, pruning and care. This is an all encompassing book that provides an excellent resource for home gardeners, libraries, and extension agents or Green Lines. This is a must have for anyone interested in growing and harvesting a colorful and healthful crop of fruit.

Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT even think about working up a batch of pickles without having a copy of this book in your kitchen. Thankfully, the publishing date is just prior to our gardening season so there is plenty of time to drool over the recipes, dream of a successful canning adventures and spread the joy in the form of many, many fabulous gifts from the pickling kitchen! Loved the book: a must have for libraries and extension agencies.
